Front cover for a Typography Issue of a Magazine. One of about a 30 versions I did.
This is Damn Good!
Really like the colours, and the general layout. I like the idea behind joining Typography and Design through the & sign, however, I don't like that the join makes the n at the end of Design look like an h, and therefore, "typography and desigh". I appreciate your used of type that is set solid for your table of contents-- it looks tidy. I might question the spacing between "introduction to letterpress" and interview with Jonathan Barnbrook" compared to "Tutorial 3D..." and "Reviews Creative...". It seems to be that the space between the first set is smaller than the space between the second. I very much like your careful use of alignment, and the contrast in your type weights and faces. Good job!
I really appreciate your review, thank you for the time you've taken to do it; I to fundamentally agree with you on the N looking like a H problem and i did think something similar after submit, I might have a rejig on that one. I will also take a look at the spacing that you mentioned. Thanks again .
Love the detail and the handmade feeling!
